The Community Development Block Grant Entitlement Program provides the City with approximately $400,000 to $500,000 annually to carry out activities such as:
Housing Rehabilitation Program Demolition Public Facilities Improvements Fair Housing Public Services Administration of other eligible activities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Arkansas Development Finance Authority (ADFA)
These programs are designed to either benefit low to moderate income person, aid in the prevention or elimination of slum and blight and/or are activities designed to meet community development needs having a particular urgency. To quality you must own and occupy, be low to moderate income, 55 years or older and handicapped. Disabled persons can apply regardless of there age. |
Substantial Rehab - Can spend up to $20,000 per home doing repairs such as plumbing, electrical, heating and air conditioning, floor repair, foundation repair, sheetrock, painting, vinyl siding, windows, doors etc. World Changers - Summer youth program specializing in major roofing, painting, windows, doors and rebuilding porches. Ozark Missions - Summer youth program specializing in minor roofing, painting, windows, doors, porches and drywall repair. Good Samaritan - City will provide up to $500 in the form of construction materials. Demolition Program - Will demolish a vacant dilapidated property at no cost to the owner providing it does not have any liens, judgments, or outstanding taxes.
