  3. ASU Mid-South Manufacturing Day Event

    You are invited to join Arkansas State University Mid-South on October 24, as we celebrate Manufacturing in the Mid-South by hosting a variety of awareness, demonstration, and informational activities on our campus. This is part of a national awareness campaign that was launched on National Manufacturing Day, October 4, to promote manufacturing and its importance to our region. We are hosting an employer event designed to increase awareness of manufacturing as a career and showcase some of our local and regional manufacturing employers, what they manufacture, the types of positions they hire, and employee earning potential. In addition to this manufacturing expo, we are also excited to have the American Welding Society Mobile Exhibit on campus that day. Using virtual reality welding simulators, participants will be able to man a welding gun and put their skills to the test. The exhibit also includes a variety of displays about welding and the world of welding.

Our team is focused on the safety and accessibility of our residents in built environments.

  3. 9th Annual Mid-South Great Steak Cook-Off

    The Mid-South Great Steak cook-off is the largest SCA sanctioned event in the Mid-South, sponsored by Southland Casino Racing and Stimson's Big Star; drawing teams from all over the South and beyond (AR, TN, MS, LA, OK, TX, MI & NY) open to all cooks with national sponsors offering bonus money for winning steaks.. In addition to the cooking competition, the cook-off will include appetizers, live music, cold drinks, door prizes and more. Up to $5,000 in prize money will be up for grabs.
